Meet Doug Forshey
Doug Forshey is a 20 year vetran of the Nashville music scene. Born in Central Pennsylvania, he cut his teeth on classic country and classic rock, citing Roger Miller, Townes Van Zant, John Lennon and Tom Petty as some of his biggest influences. Since relocating to Nashville in '95, Doug has been a staff writer, studio vocalist and guitarist, performing live regularly at legndary venues like the Bluebird Cafe and Douglas Corner.
Doug is also honored to be a board member and inner circle songwriter for the Sing Me A Story Foundation, recently featured on the Today Show, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children in need turn their stories into songs.

As a recording artist, Doug has released one solo album, "Crazy Gravity", and two albums with his former band, The Dudes Terrific, "Born Yesterday" and "TDT II", available on iTunes.
"Built to Last', Doug's latest solo EP is a collection of some of Doug's most powerful songs, superbly produced by long time friend and collaborator,
Matthew Roley. With drums, upright bass, steel guitar framing Doug's trademark acoustic guitar sound and smooth, pure vocals.

As a songwriter, Doug has had his songs recorded by many independent artists across the US and Canada. In 2012 his song, "Rest For My Body", co-written with Jason Howard, was recorded by Canadian country artist, Quentin Reddy, and spent 15 weeks on the Canadian Hot 100 as his debut single.

In 2018 his song, "Misty Morning", co-written with Chris Strait, was recorded by veteran bluegrass band, Special Consensus and released on their Grammy nominated, IBMA award winning album, Rivers And Roads.
